Thixotropic agents are used to thicken liquids or pastes. This increases the viscosity without altering the pumping properties. Thickeners such as Silox Thix 1 are used to prevent injection resins from running and to adjust glues or sealing slurries such as Silipox 824 and Cembond 863 to a pasty consistency, allowing them to be used for creating coves or for sealing

pipe penetrations. Areas of application:

• thickening of injection resins
• thickening of glues
• thickening of sealing slurries
