Silex Suspension 931 is a new injection mortar, optimized for processing, used for filling voids in fissured masonry and for grouting cracks and crevices.
The product has been optimized for application. Suspensions of Silex 931 do not sediment during processing (!), do not shrink during curing, are particularly easy to pump, and set quickly.

low viscosity while remaining free of sedimentation.
SILEX Suspension 931 fills voids in structures that are to be sealed by injection. Pre-injection with SILEX-931 closes these defects. It prevents the uncontrolled runoff of the injection agent, supports its uniform distribution in the injection plane, and thus creates an important prerequisite for successful sealing.
SILEX-931 is compatible with horizontal barriers based on silicones or silanes (HydroBloc-Si brands), as well as with HydroBloc gels and resins.
Masonry with many voids, dry-stone walls, and similar structures are stabilized and strengthened by grouting with SILEX-931. Especially through the use of CemBond-956, our cement-reactive additive, added to the mixing liquid for SILEX-931, fragile structures can also be reinforced.
The substrate must be clean, frost-free, and load-bearing. Impurities in voids and drill holes must be removed, e.g., by blowing them out with dry and oil-free compressed air. Dry substrates should always be pre-wetted before applying the material.
Processing
Silex Suspension 931 is stirred into clean water provided in a container, using a low-speed agitator. To mix a 20 kg bag of S-931, approx. 10 - 11 liters of water are required. 20 kg of Silex 931 yields approx. 16-17 liters of cement grout. Stir until a homogeneous, flowable mass is obtained. The mixed injection mortar must be processed within 60 minutes. Material that has already started to stiffen must not be re-stirred or diluted!
Large voids can be filled manually by pouring via a funnel or using hand presses. For more extensive work, smaller voids, and for filling wider cracks, we recommend processing with pumps using the low-pressure method. Eccentric screw pumps and compressed-air diaphragm pumps are particularly suitable for this.
During pre-injection for subsequently introduced chemical horizontal barriers using the drill-hole method, the holes filled with Silex-931 can be re-drilled for the subsequent injection after approx. 24 hours.
