Swellinjekt 405 is a swellable injection hose for sealing construction joints. Its dual function offers double the security. Swellinject 405 consists of an injection channel completely surrounded by HydroTape swelling rubber. The injection channel is securely embedded in the swelling tape, protecting it during the concreting process. Swellinject is quick and easy to install.

Function

Swellinject 405 is fastened in the construction joint before pouring the concrete. As the concrete shrinks during curing, the construction joint can become leaky. The swelling tape reliably and permanently seals this leakage. If necessary, the hose can be additionally injected to seal voids or cracks in the concrete.

Application

Reliable sealing of construction joints. It meets high technical requirements, with injection no longer being necessary in most cases. Swellinjekt 405 replaces conventional methods such as waterstop tapes or metal waterstops.

Packaging

Swellinjekt 405 is supplied ready to use with a length of 9 m. In addition, two injection ends of 70 cm each are pre-assembled on both sides of the hose.

Installation

Swellinject 405 should be installed in the middle of the construction joint, inside the reinforcement. The black side must always face downwards. There are two methods of fastening:
  • Mounting clip no. 414 for nailing
  • Mounting clip no. 415 for doweling
The injection ends are stored in storage box 417 to ensure later access.

Injection

Suitable injection agents are HydroBloc PU 500, HydroBloc 575 Integral, and HydroBloc Injekt 583. In principle, we do not recommend using foam resins or gels for the injection of injection hoses.
