HydroBloc WPS 750 - waterproof, decorative barrier coating 15 kg

HydroBloc-WPS 750 is a waterproof, decorative barrier coating. The product can be used to coat damp or wet mineral substrates with minimal effort. Elaborate surface preparation is not required. Coatings with WPS-750 have a matte finish, are waterproof, and prevent unsightly efflorescence and water stains. Water vapor diffusion and thus the drying process are not hindered. HydroBloc-WPS coatings react with existing moisture, thereby anchoring themselves to the substrate. Typical applications for HydroBloc-WPS are decorative coatings on damp and wet concrete, masonry, or plaster, preferably after other waterproofing measures. HydroBloc-WPS coatings can replace elaborate dehumidifying plasters or be used as an additional decorative protective coat on such plasters.

Application

WPS-750 is supplied ready for use and can be applied using any standard painting techniques and methods. The substrates intended for coating must be clean and free of loose materials and separating agents. On wet surfaces, WPS-750 is applied with a block brush and distributed evenly using a cross-coating technique. Brushing works the paint more easily into the pores of the substrate and wets and displaces existing surface water better than is possible with rollers. Depending on the condition, moisture level, and roughness of the substrate, as well as aesthetic requirements, 2 coats are necessary to achieve a homogeneously closed, even surface. The second coat can be applied with a roller. When using sufficiently powerful equipment, WPS-750 can also be applied using airless sprayers. Subsequent coats can be applied either immediately after the previous coat has dried or after any length of time; there are no issues with inter-coat adhesion. HydroBloc-WPS 750 is pigmented pure white. If required, the product can be easily tinted in all pastel shades using standard universal tinting concentrates (e.g., "MIXOL" brand). The pigments used must be alkali-resistant; addition amounts should not exceed 5% of the base paint; preliminary tests are recommended. Tinting pastes for emulsion paints or dry pigments are not suitable for tinting. HydroBloc-WPS 750 contains mild-smelling, aromatic-free solvents. Therefore, ensure adequate ventilation during application. For cleaning application tools, we recommend our universally applicable safety solvent HydroSolv 520. Diluting or cleaning with water is not possible. Nevertheless, ensure that work areas are sufficiently ventilated.
