HydroBloc Si 700 – highly effective horizontal barrier against rising damp.

HydroBloc SI 700 is a highly effective, low-viscosity sealant for creating horizontal barriers in walls. Capillary, air, and water pores are hydrophobized and silicified, coarse pores are filled, and crumbling joint mortar is consolidated. HydroBloc SI 700 is a ready-to-use 1-component system.

Application

HydroBloc SI 700 is ready-to-use and is injected into the building material via packers under pressure or introduced without pressure using drip bottles. During application, the pore structure in the building material is filled with polysilicic acid in a two-phase reaction; subsequently, the siliconate condenses into a strongly hydrophobic polymethylsilicic acid. This hydrophobization permanently stops capillary water transport. Important: Even secondary pores that inevitably form in the (water-containing) polysilicic acid as the surfaces dry out are therefore hydrophobic and cannot transport water! HydroBloc SI 700 is based on a formulation of metal silicates and organosilicon compounds (siliconates) that has been tried and tested for years in international monument conservation and the preservation of historical buildings. The product has been optimized for application, is supplied ready-to-use, and is absolutely storage-stable.

In accordance with WTA guidelines, silicification agents are only recommended for masonry moisture levels of up to 60%. For a higher degree of moisture saturation, we recommend our product HydroBloc SI 709.
