HydroBloc PU 500 – swellable polyurethane injection resin

Polyurethane injection resin, swellable HydroBloc PU 500, the injection resin with a self-healing effect! Upon contact with water (after curing), the resin increases its volume by over 150%. HydroBloc PU-500 compensates for changes in the joint cross-section even years after injection. Classic rigid resins without a swelling effect cannot do this. PU-500 is a classic 2-component resin. The mixing ratio of the two components is 1:1 by volume. Due to the long pot life, the material can also be processed with a 1-component pump. The pot life is approx. 70 - 100 minutes at 20°C; by adding activators (HydroCat 508 and HydroCat 509), the setting time can be shortened to 120 seconds, thus also allowing for the stopping of water flowing under pressure.
