Injection resin, hydrophilic, water-miscible and swellable A universally applicable, swellable acrylate resin/injection resin ("acrylic resin"). HydroBloc Injekt 583 is low-viscosity and swells in water once cured. It contains a corrosion protection component that actively protects reinforcing steel. HydroBloc-Injekt 583 is a hybrid resin manufactured using a proprietary ARCAN process. Accelerated Injekt 583 can even be applied at sub-zero temperatures. HydroBloc - Injekt 583 is extremely durable. Due to its special structure, the product is extraordinarily resistant to chemical and biological influences and is therefore also suitable for sealing under difficult conditions - e.g., in biogas and sewage treatment plants.
Due to the simple 1:1 mixing ratio, Injekt 583 can also be processed with standard 2-component machines that dose at a 1:1 ratio. The reaction time of the resin - approx. 50-60 minutes at 20°C in its supplied form - can be shortened if necessary with HydroCat activators to achieve shorter setting times (as fast as 2-3 minutes is possible). The viscosity of HydroBloc-Injekt is low. Although it is formulated to be slightly thixotropic, its flow behavior during injection is excellent, allowing it to penetrate even the finest hairline cracks and porous structures, filling and sealing them securely and completely. Its ability to swell upon contact with water and its hydrophilic formulation are the most important advantages of HydroBloc-Injekt 583. Through typical, controlled swelling, Injekt 583 compensates for changes in crack or joint cross-sections, even after years. Furthermore, the hydrophilic, water-friendly character of the resin prevents unwanted side reactions with water, such as the typical foaming seen with PUR resins. In addition, it guarantees the typical excellent wetting and adhesion even on damp substrates. The product is frost-sensitive and can only be shipped at temperatures >5°C.
