For injection, it is diluted with up to 15 parts water (tap water), depending on the type of building material. This makes the product very economical to use. Upon contact with the building material, Si-709 sets through a chemical reaction and is permanently bonded to the structure of the material. The crosslinking reaction occurs automatically; the reaction initiator is already included in the product. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe operating principle of HydroBloc SI 709\u003c\/strong\u003e: The active ingredient undergoes a chemical reaction with the building material, which stops capillary suction (water transport). Systems that act through silicification clog the pores or make them narrower. New systems like HydroBloc SI 709 no longer use this technology; the permanent seal is achieved by interrupting the suction process \/ water absorption.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eApplication\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHydroBloc Si-709 is introduced into the wall via drill holes so that the injection solution, which spreads in a circle around the holes within the wall, overlaps to form a continuous barrier layer. This injection can be carried out using pressure with injection pumps or without pressure via reservoir containers \/ injection bottles. Pressure injection is always recommended for higher moisture levels (moisture content in masonry \u0026gt; 50%). At moisture levels \u0026gt; 70%, pressure injection is mandatory. Only in this way is the penetration of the injection agent into the water-saturated pores of the building material ensured. Fissured masonry with many cavities must always be grouted with a cement suspension (Silex Suspension 931). IMPORTANT: A prerequisite for the function of horizontal barriers is that the masonry is completely saturated with the injection agent at the injection level.
