Repairing cracked screeds by stitching with screed connectors is ideal. By injecting and impregnating the structure with EP-800, the compressive and tensile strength of masonry with insufficient load-bearing capacity or of crushed-stone, tamped, and single-grain concrete is significantly improved. For exposed concrete, gravity-fed injections with SILOX EP-800 reliably fill and seal cracks (including hairline cracks) so that no contaminants can penetrate to damage the concrete or reinforcement steel. Hollow-lying bonded screeds or slab coverings (even on facades!) are stabilized by low-pressure or vacuum injection with SILOX-EP 800 and permanently bonded to the substrate in a structurally sound manner. Industrial floors, floor areas in warehouses, garages, or similar surfaces can be impregnated or sealed by one or more treatments with EP-800. This creates highly abrasion-resistant, dust-free, and liquid-tight surfaces. Mixtures of (dry) quartz flour or sand and Silox EP-800 produce synthetic resin mortars with extremely high strength. Such mortars are typically used for repairing damaged concrete floor surfaces, grouting anchor bolts or machine foundations, as trowel-applied repair or adhesive mortars, and similar applications where high strength and a structural bond between concrete, stone, and\/or metal are required.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eApplication\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSILOX-EP 800 is a classic \"two-component system\" consisting of resin and hardener. Once mixed, both components react to form a tough-hard epoxy polymer. The mixing ratio of the components (Resin \"A\" + Hardener \"B\") is 2:1 (by volume). Before processing, both components are added as usual to a clean and dry container and mixed homogeneously by stirring with a mixing device (e.g., a drill with a mixing paddle)*, decanted, and stirred again. After mixing, it can be processed immediately. *Stirring by hand is not sufficient!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eIMPORTANT\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOnly ever mix as much material as can be processed within a reasonable amount of time. The reaction between resin and hardener that begins immediately after mixing is exothermic (releases heat). This heating triggers a self-acceleration of the reaction (as with all reactive resins!) – this drastically shortens the processing time for larger mixtures. High ambient and material temperatures also influence (shorten) the processing time! Low temperatures delay the curing of EP resins, and at ambient temperatures \u0026lt; 6°C, the setting reaction stops. The resin can be processed with all pumps and presses commonly used in injection technology, can be applied to surfaces by rolling with plush rollers, via standard spraying methods, etc., and places no special demands on the materials of machines and equipment.
